The two photographs I have chosen accurately reflect attitudes the allied soldiers had prior to their D-Day operations. While my two photographs cannot show all aspects of preparation for D-Day, such as the state of the home front at the time, my photographs do represent the attitudes of the allied troops and General Dwight D. Eisenhower before beginning D-Day operations, especially Operation Deadstick and Operation Overlord. While the British paratroopers appear confident and eager, the Americans are more serious and preoccupied with preparing to board their planes when meeting with General Dwight D. Eisenhower.
